“Things are definitely different between us. And I want them to be better. But I also am tired of having the same conversation over and over again. It just brings me back to childhood - hearing my parents fight all the time. I don’t want that. I don’t want our kids to grow up hearing that. But we’re stuck in this place where nothing feels like it’s changing and I don’t know how much longer either one of us can take it.”

“I mean, I don’t hate my partner. I’d probably be pretty lost without them. But sometimes I just want to not feel like I’m carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders all the time. I don’t think anyone gets just how much I bend and flex for this family. My partner doesn’t seem to care how overwhelmed I am while I run around the house doing things like a maniac. It all just feels like so much. I really miss when things were easier and I just don’t want to deal with any of it anymore.”

Couples therapy is a brave choice when you’re feeling stuck and unhappy in your relationship. It can be the key to finding the love and respect you once had for each other. I love doing transformational work with stuck couples and individuals who are going through life transitions.

My Approach:

I am a Marriage & Family Therapist at Beehive Counseling. My experience in the MFT program at Southern has provided me with fresh ideas, excellent mentoring, and a deep understanding of relationship systems and how they work…and how they can be better.

My experience working as a clinician with first responders and their families has provided me with the opportunity to immerse myself in working with a nuanced and unique population with a wide range of ages, experiences and presenting problems. I have a strong ability and interest in engaging and developing strong therapeutic connections with individuals, couples and families experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use, navigating life changes and more.

I strive to understand the root of behaviors that negatively impact relationships and will support you in your efforts to restore and nurture communication, stability, compassion and joy in your life. I am excited to help you find your sense of hope again.

Does insurance cover the cost of therapy sessions?

I work with clients with Husky/Medicaid, and am in the process of contracting with other insurance plans. I will also work with your OON benefits and offer a reduced rate for self-pay clients. I practice in our Manchester, CT office and offer teletherapy as well.
