“I'm just going through the motions and sometimes I don't think I can take it anymore. I feel like I'm on the edge of a breakdown.  I judge everything I say and do, and I can't stop thinking about my past. I'm always wishing for something different or beating myself up for what I do and who I am. It's not even like everything is bad, I just expect it to be. Sometimes I just wish I could start all over again and do everything differently. What issues can you help me with?

I love working with teens, young adults, and older adult clients who are struggling with the big questions or transitions in their lives. I can help with grief, anxiety, depression, OCD, LGBTQIA+ issues, and trauma.

What kind of therapy do you do?

I believe in having a lot of tools in my toolbox because every one of my clients is different - and I treasure your individual way of being in the world. I use methods like CBT and DBT to help you develop practical skills for coping with stress, improving relationships, and managing distress. I also like to use meditation and mindfulness with clients who are interested, to help you access a sense of inner balance and peace in a world that can be pretty overwhelming.

Does insurance cover the cost of therapy sessions? 

I work with clients with Husky/Medicaid, and am in the contracting process with Anthem BCBS, Aetna, United/Optum and Cigna/Evernorth. I also offer a self-selecting sliding scale. I practice in our Manchester CT office and offer teletherapy.
