“No matter how much I sleep, I’m already drained before the day begins. I drag myself through the day and try to put on a normal face, but underneath I’m anxious about everything - messing up an email, saying the wrong thing, seeming like I’m acting weird. I know it’s not logical, but it feels like I’m constantly one step away from failing. When I get home, I tell myself I’ll be productive, but instead I end up turning on my game console. Gaming is the one place I feel like myself. I can escape, focus on quests or leveling up, and not feel the heaviness pressing down so much. But lately, even games don’t bring the same joy. I play, but I still feel this emptiness. It’s like I’m going through the motions in life and online.
What I really want is to feel excited about something again. To wake up without the dread. To be able to talk about what’s going on inside my head without feeling like I’m too much or like I have to explain myself in a way people won’t get. I don’t want to keep feeling stuck. I can’t keep doing this alone. I need someone who gets it, who can help me find a way to manage the anxiety and pull myself out of this fog. I just want to feel better.”
Hi, I’m Justin and I’m glad you’re here.
As an LMFT-A, I bring a systemic perspective to treatment and a strong foundation in evidence-based practices. I’m committed to creating a safe, affirming space for clients.
I am in the process of completing certification in Geek Therapy, an approach that uses video games, comics, movies, books, and other parts of geek culture as tools for healing and growth. By connecting through shared interests, therapy can feel more engaging, relatable, and accessible—especially for those who may find traditional approaches harder to connect with. I integrate your passions into the therapeutic process to build trust, foster self-expression, and support meaningful change.
I enjoy working with many ages and populations, from ages 7 and up. My work draws from many therapeutic modalities, including Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems. My style is empathic (in tune with your emotions), nonjudgmental, grounded, and collaborative.
My clinical supervisor is Rebecca Burton, LMFT, Lic # 0001041 (CT)
If you think we’d be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you!
